J.Deepan Chakkravarthy is Madurai's pride. He has won U-12, 14 national titles and club team championship titles apart from several medals,
his biggest break came at Aurangabad National 'A' Championship in 2011 where he finished second.
Spain has become Madurai GM's favourite country. He recently won the Fifth Open International de Ajerdrez Vitoria-Gasteiz tournament in Spain. Last year, he finished first in Ajedrez A.D. San Juan International chess tournament in Pamplona.
